**Grover Corlew Breaks Ground on Mayla Cypress Multifamily Development in Fort Lauderdale**
Grover Corlew has officially broken ground on Mayla Cypress, a 312-unit luxury multifamily community located at 6261 NW 6th Way in Fort Lauderdale’s Uptown Urban Village, part of the Cypress Creek business corridor. The project is being developed on the site of a former underutilized office building and reflects the company’s continued expansion of its Mayla-branded residential portfolio, which also includes planned developments in Delray Beach and Orlando.
The groundbreaking comes on the heels of securing a $92 million construction loan, arranged by Berkadia. Leasing is projected to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with full project completion anticipated in early 2027.
Mayla Cypress will feature a variety of upscale amenities including:
– A resort-style swimming pool with private cabanas
– Outdoor kitchen and grilling areas
– Clubhouse with a billiards lounge
– A two-story fitness center offering 24/7 access, cardio mezzanine, and yoga room
– Coworking and conference spaces
– Dog spa and other pet-friendly features
– An on-site sundry store
The project was designed by MSA Architects, and Straticon is serving as the general contractor.
