Groundbreaking of U District Office Tower by LPC and Partners

Groundbreaking of U District Office Tower by LPC and Partners

On Wednesday, Lincoln Property Company (LPC), Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation, University of Washington (UW) and Sound Transit broke ground on the new 266,000-square-foot office building in the center of Seattle’s University District. The project will feature a mix of ground-floor retail space, Class A office space and a rooftop terrace.

The strategic location over Sound Transit’s U District light rail station encourages use of public transit while providing access to unmatched amenities for tenants. LPC was selected by UW to develop the project which opened in Fall 2021.  Alex Aigne VP at LPC commented “We have a track record for delivering state-of-the art office spaces but this location is special.”

UW will occupy five floors with administrative space while Newmark’s Cavan O’Keefe Tim O’Keefe and Jesse Ottele are leasing out remaining 133,000 square feet for offices or retail purposes. This high density development offers an exciting opportunity to be part of Seattle’s vibrant urban landscape that promotes public transportation usage as well as modern amenities for tenants alike!
