"Groundbreaking for NJ Transit-Oriented Healthcare Development"

Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH), the largest health network in New Jersey, is embarking on a groundbreaking project at Metropark Station in Woodbridge, NJ. This marks the inception of the nation’s first health and wellness center at a transit hub. The project aligns with Governor Murphy’s vision to revitalize transportation hubs into multi-use spaces and is set to open in 2025.

The 60,000-square-foot facility will offer comprehensive healthcare services including primary care, specialties, and urgent care. It will also incorporate amenities and community benefits to enhance access to healthcare and promote mass transit utilization.

This investment by Hackensack Meridian Health demonstrates their commitment to expanding healthcare accessibility as well as creating job opportunities with an estimated 1,000 employment opportunities. “New Jersey continues its pioneering efforts by breaking ground on this unique model for supporting families and communities – a comprehensive health care facility located at a major transit hub,” said Governor Phil Murphy.
