Groundbreaking Ceremony for BRIDGE Housing Senior Complex in San Diego’s Little Italy

On Friday, the County of San Diego and BRIDGE Housing broke ground on Kettner Crossing, a 64-unit affordable seniors housing project in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. This marks the 12th such development by BRIDGE Housing, a nationally recognized nonprofit developer, owner and manager of affordable housing.

Ken Lombard – President and CEO of BRIDGE Housing – noted that this project is intended to create “a synergistic feeling of place” with much-needed housing next to transit as well as integrating a mix of uses into an historic community while activating an underutilized parcel. Financial partners for Kettner Crossing include the County Of San Diego; City Of San Diego; Wells Fargo Bank; The San Diego Foundation and California Tax Credit Allocation Committee. AVRP Studios are responsible for architecture while R.D Olson serve as general contractors on this exciting new venture which will soon welcome senior residents to their new homes!
