Groundbreaking Begins on Houston's Grand Parkway Town Center by NewQuest

NewQuest Properties is set to break ground on Houston’s Grand Parkway Town Center by the end of June. The 400,000 square foot development will be located off Grand Parkway and Hwy 249 on 65 acres. Construction will begin with utilities and roadways, followed by pad sites for tenants in August 2021. Some retail stores and restaurants are expected to open late 2024, while big-box retailers could open as early as first or second quarter of 2025. The project can accommodate eight or nine large anchors alongside other retail establishments across 10 pad sites.
The long awaited development was initially okayed in 2019 but had to be put aside due to anchor tenants Kroger’s and Sam’s Club pulling out before Covid hit the scene later that year. Community Impact reports that NewQuest is now ready for construction after a two-year delay caused by these events beyond their control
