Jacksonville’s city officials have granted developer Gateway Jax the green light to begin construction on three out of five buildings in their highly anticipated mixed-use development. The $500 million project, known as N4, will feature 1,000 multifamily units and a large retail space in the North Core area of downtown Jacksonville. While there is currently no set timeline for completion, progress is expected to move forward swiftly.
According to reports from the Jacksonville Business Journal, N4 will consist of a seven-story building with approximately 16,000 square feet of ground floor retail space and 270 residential units. Additionally,N8 will be a towering 22-story structure with over 530 residential units and two levels of parking situated above about62 ,000 square feetof ground floor and second-floor retail space.
The third building approved for development is N11 -a seven-story mixed-use project spanning over32 ,530 square feet. This building boasts around21 ,000squarefeetofgroundfloorretailand205residentialunits.Withtheapprovalfromcityofficials,GatewayJaxisnowabletobeginworkonthismassive$500millionprojectthatwillbringnewlifeandopportunitiestothedowntownareaofJacksonville.Thisexcitingdevelopmentisexpectedtoattractbothresidentsandbusinessesalike,andisjustoneexampleofthethrivinggrowthtakingplaceinthisflourishingcity.
