Google has announced plans to construct and launch a Code Next Lab at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, part of the expansive 300-acre sports and entertainment complex being developed by E. Stanley Kroenke, owner/chairman of the Los Angeles Rams. This will be the first Code Next Lab in Southern California, providing a free immersive computer science education program specifically for Black, Latino/Hispanic, and Indigenous students.
The new lab is set to open in 2024 and will cater not only to students from Inglewood but also those from surrounding areas within LA. This partnership between Google, YouTube, Google Cloud and Hollywood Park’s venues – SoFi Stadium and YouTube Theater – further solidifies their commitment towards community impact.
