Google is set to open its first physical retail store at Oakbrook Mall on November 1st. This will be the fifth Google store, with others located in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Boston and Mountain View.
The new location at 63 Oakbrook Center will allow shoppers in the Chicago area to have a hands-on experience with Google products such as Pixel phones, watches and tablets, Nest cameras, Fitbit trackers and branded merchandise. According to a press release from Google,the store will offer an extensive selection of their products for customers to explore.
In addition to browsing and purchasing items in-store, customers can also place orders online for pickup at the location. The store will also have knowledgeable staff available for troubleshooting product issues or providing phone repairs.
This announcement marks an exciting expansion for Google’s retail presence as they continue to bring their innovative technology directly into consumers’ hands.
