Gold’s Gym has recently secured a lease for a new branch in the D.C. Metro area, occupying approximately 20,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor of Vermeer – an upcoming apartment complex located at 113 Potomac Ave. SW.
The luxury multifamily building, developed by Toll Brothers Inc., is set to open this winter and will consist of 501 units in Buzzard Point neighborhood. According to reports from Washington Business Journal , Gold’s Gym will occupy nearly half of the building’s total retail space which amounts to around 37,000 square feet.
The gym will be operated by local franchise group Gold’s Gym – D.C. Metro and marks their sixth location within the District and overall twenty-second location. The transaction was brokered by Jared Meier and Taylor Hayes from CBRE as well as Edwin M.Clark III from Newmark.
