Investment platform Go Outdoors has acquired Constitution Marina on Boston Harbor for an undisclosed price, enabling the longtime family owners to retire from the business. Colliers brokered the transaction for the seller, Bosport Docking, LLC, while Go Outdoors completed the purchase without broker representation. The deal transfers one of the city’s best-known waterfront facilities to a new institutional owner focused on outdoor-oriented real assets.
Constitution Marina is located at 28 Constitution Rd in the Charlestown neighborhood, just outside downtown Boston, along the historic Freedom Trail. The 273-slip property offers approximately 9,000 linear feet of dockage, including protected transient and seasonal berths that serve boaters using Boston Harbor and nearby attractions. The facility is rated among the top 3% of marinas nationwide on Marinas.com, reflecting its standing within the national marina market.
The marina has been owned and operated by the same family for more than 60 years. As the owners evaluated succession options, they prioritized identifying a buyer that could act as a responsible and capable steward of the asset. Colliers undertook a competitive call-for-offers process that generated 10 offers from qualified buyers, illustrating broad investor interest in the property and the Boston waterfront marina segment. Following this process, Go Outdoors was selected as the buyer and has now assumed ownership of the facility.
Go Outdoors has historically focused on properties in the Southeast U.S., where it owns a portfolio of marinas and RV-oriented assets. Together with its partner, Monarch Alternative Capital LP, the platform holds 16 marinas and four RV resort parks, extending its reach across multiple outdoor recreation markets. The acquisition of Constitution Marina marks an expansion of Go Outdoors’ footprint into Boston while adding a highly rated, established waterfront asset to its holdings.
The sale of Constitution Marina highlights ongoing investor appetite for operating waterfront properties with strong reputations and established customer bases. With no price disclosed, the transaction details remain private, but the number of offers and the selection process underscore the competitive environment for well-located marinas in major urban harbors.
