Global Partners’ 75% headquarters expansion in Newton signals that well-capitalized occupiers remain willing to commit to larger, higher-quality office space despite broader sector headwinds.

Global Partners has opened a new corporate headquarters at 275 Grove S. in Newton, MA, marking a significant expansion of its office footprint. The independent liquid energy supplier and retail operator is now occupying three floors in Building 3, totaling 125,000 square feet of workspace.

The new headquarters represents a 75% increase in size compared with Global Partners’ prior office footprint in Waltham. By consolidating its corporate functions into a larger, contiguous space, the company has created a setting designed to support both day-to-day operations and engagement with external stakeholders.

The Newton office features 38 conference rooms distributed across the three occupied floors, giving employees and visitors access to a range of meeting environments. In addition to these formal meeting areas, the space includes three dedicated collaboration rooms intended to support team-based work and project discussions.

A stadium-style staircase links all three levels of the headquarters, providing both a visual focal point and an internal connection between floors. The design also incorporates multiple coffee bars and casual gathering areas, reflecting an emphasis on informal interaction and internal connectivity within the company.

The headquarters includes customized areas specifically tailored for hosting customers and business partners. These spaces are intended to accommodate meetings, presentations, and other engagements that bring external stakeholders into the corporate environment.

Eric Slifka, president and CEO of Global Partners, characterized the opening of the Newton headquarters as an important milestone. He described the office as a space that reflects the company’s current identity, the quality of its workforce, and its ambitions for the future. Slifka noted that substantial thought and investment were dedicated to the design and execution of the new headquarters, with attention paid to the details of the building and its interior environment.

With the move to 275 Grove S., Global Partners has transitioned into a significantly larger headquarters setting in Newton, MA, while emphasizing collaborative spaces, customer- and partner-focused areas, and an upgraded overall office environment.
