Groundbreaking on the 135,000 square foot mixed-use center at Verde in Cooley Station, Gilbert occurred during the Covid slowdown. Despite a rough start, today $60 million project has opened a number of retail stores with more on the way and 12,000 square feet of additional retail shells are planned. Additionally 750 housing units will be developed for three multifamily communities.
A 39,000 square foot medical office building is also part of this project and is expected to be completed by mid 2024 after starting late 2022. The $12 million construction being built by Florida-based Sina Cos., financed by Western Alliance and managed for leasing purposes by Plaza Cos., will be called Verde Medical Center when complete.
In addition to these developments in Cooley Station neighborhood there are plans for ten buildings housing 568 residential units as well as TRAX at Cooley Station proposed on 25 acres located at Williams Field Road & Wade Drive intersection .
