Groundbreaking on the 135,000 square foot mixed-use center in Gilbert’s Cooley Station neighborhood occurred during the Covid slowdown. Despite a rough start, today the $60 million project has opened a number of retail stores with more on the way and 12,000 square feet of additional retail shells planned. The Verde at Cooley Station also includes 750 housing units across three multifamily communities.
A 39,000 square foot medical office building is being built by Florida-based Sina Cos., financed by Western Alliance and managed for leasing by Plaza Cos.. Called Verde Medical Center, construction began late 2022 and is expected to be completed mid 2024 at an estimated cost of $12 million dollars.
In addition to The Verde at Cooley Station development plans include ten buildings housing 568 residential units as part of TRAX at Cooley Station proposed for 25 acres located southeast corner Williams Field Road & Wade Drive within 738 acre master-planned community .
