On June 30th, the Gila River Indian Community will open Santan Mountain Casino in Chandler. This $180-million development broke ground in 2021 and features a 150,000-square-foot casino on the southeast corner of Gilbert Road and Hunt Highway. The casino offers several dining options, event space, outdoor space as well as a large BetMGM sportsbook and lounge with over 800 slot machines and 25 table games. Additionally, Gila River Resorts & Casinos plans to hire 700 employees for this new venture.
Las Vegas based Penta Building Group served as general contractor while Steelman Partners was responsible for architecture design services at Santan Mountain Casino; however there are no immediate plans to build an adjoining hotel yet.
