**GFO Investments Unveils Redevelopment Plans for Historic Miami Courthouse**
GFO Investments has announced plans to redevelop the historic Miami-Dade Courthouse at 73 W Flagler Street. As part of the ambitious project, the developer intends to construct a 65-story mixed-use tower on an adjacent property. The proposed skyscraper will include more than 800 residential units—comprised of both condominiums and rentals—along with ground-floor retail, shared amenities, parking, and pedestrian-friendly green space.
According to the South Florida Business Journal, the courthouse itself, originally built in 1929, will be preserved in its entirety and repurposed to house a mix of office space, hospitality suites, a hotel, and meeting rooms. The adaptive reuse of the historic building reflects an effort to maintain the architectural integrity and cultural significance of one of Miami’s landmark structures.
Miami-Dade County vacated the courthouse in 2020, having moved into a new facility.
