"Georgia Tech Student Housing Community Sells for $36.8M"

Pope & Land Real Estate recently acquired 100 Midtown, a luxurious student housing community in Atlanta, for $36.8 million. The deal was brokered by TSB Realty and financed by First Carolina Bank through a $29.4 million loan arranged by TSB Capital Advisors.

According to Commercial Edge, the property was purchased in January 2021 by Arizona State Retirement System from Pierce Education Properties as part of a larger portfolio transaction.

The nine-story building, located at 100 10th St NW and adjacent to Georgia Institute of Technology’s main campus, offers fully furnished two- and four-bedroom floorplans ranging from 620 to 1,765 square feet. Originally built in1968 and repositioned as student housing in2004,the community is currently at98 percent occupancy.

Amenities include a fitness center, clubhouse with film lounge,and pool tables on the almost2-acre property.Additionally,residents have access toacommunity lounge,a video game room,a library,and approximately245 parking spaces.
