Georgetown Rail Service Company to Double Its Presence

Loram Technologies is constructing a new office and manufacturing facility in Georgetown, TX. The project will double the company’s 150-person team to 300 positions and move operations from its existing site at 111 Cooperative Way. In 2021, the Georgetown City Council passed an incentives agreement to aid with completion of the facility which has a capital investment of $23 million for 94,000 square feet. Loram plans on relocating its 167 employees and creating an additional 150 jobs with an average salary of $60,000 once construction is completed in 2025. This expansion will provide numerous economic benefits for Georgetown residents as well as those seeking employment opportunities within rail service equipment maintenance and services industry.
