Generation Park in Houston, TX: 4,300 Acres Ready for Activity

McCord Development has announced the start of work on Generation Park, a 4,300-acre mixed-use development in northeast Houston. The project will focus on biotechnology first with the initial phase featuring a 65,000-square foot cell and gene microtherapy facility that San Jacinto College will partially lease. Groundbreaking is planned for later this year with an estimated completion date of late 2024.

This stage also includes BioHub Two – a 45-acre masterplanned venture currently under design. Other projects include 300,000 square feet of retail expansion; 250 units for multifamily housing; and new hotel at Redemption Square – Generation Park’s 80 acre mixed use district. Additionally McCord is developing 100,000 square feet speculative flex industrial project plus 8600 sq ft events venue alongside bar area too .
To oversee all these developments Greg Wattson was recently appointed who had successfully managed similar sized projects in Atlanta as well as two California locations previously .
