McCord Development is pushing forward with the first phase of a bio-tech campus within its Generation Park master-planned development in NE Houston. The company has invested $30 million in infrastructure improvements to prepare the site for BioHub Two, which will include 45 acres that can be subdivided for life sciences uses such as large and small scale manufacturing. When complete, it will comprise 500,000 square feet of manufacturing, lab and office space.
In addition to BioHub Two McCord Development plans on building two multifamily communities adjacent to it followed by The Commons; a 5 acre green space featuring independent restaurants and cafes. Further down the line they are working on developing a 100,000 square foot speculative flex industrial project along with an 8600 sq ft events venue accompanied by an adjoining bar at Redemption Square inside Generation Park which includes 300K sq ft of retail area when finished.
