Manifold Real Estate is hoping to construct two towers on the east side of Austin’s Central Business District, next to the convention center. The proposed structures would reach heights of 41 and 55 floors respectively, rising up to 450 and 600 feet in height. Rhodes will be performing design work for the project which has been submitted for approval from Austin Design Commission.
The development plans include 884,124 gross square feet with 856 apartments, a 216-room hotel, 849 parking spaces on seven levels of above-grade parking as well as 4,000 square feet of retail space and 24,739 square feet of amenities. According to reports by Austin Business Journal Manifold appears willing to pay a development bonus fee instead providing affordable housing at this site which is valued at just over $56 million by Travis Central Appraisal District.
