Galveston Retail Center Transforms into Main Street

Harold A. Clark & Co. recently sold The Plaza at Galveston Island, a 151,905-square-foot neighborhood retail center in Galveston, Texas to Main Street. Located roughly 50 miles outside of Houston on the Gulf of Mexico and completed in 1970, the property features five buildings on a 14-acre site with some 470 parking spaces. It is home to an array of local, regional and national retailers such as Dollar Tree, Ross Dress for Less®, Five Below®, Shoe Dept Encore™ , Beall’s Outlet® , UPS Store® , AT&T Wireless®, Benjamin Moore Paints™ , Whataburger®, Café Canela and Max & Zacks® . At the time of sale it was 84.5% leased according to Commercial Search data sources  and ranked within the top 10 percent highest performing strip centers nationally by JLL surveyors .
