**Develop Fulton Approves $144M in Bonds for Student Housing Near Morehouse College**

The Development Authority of Fulton County (Develop Fulton) has approved more than $144 million in bond financing for a major student housing development at 850 West End Avenue SW in Atlanta. The new 290-unit complex is expected to house approximately 800 residents, with a focus on students attending historically Black colleges.

Morehouse College and Spelman College have selected a development team to lead the project, which will be located directly across from Morehouse’s B.T. Harvey Stadium. The project will be developed by Radnor Property Group in partnership with the Madrone Community Development Foundation.

Enrollment across both campuses has increased by roughly 25% over the past five years, adding approximately 1,100 additional students and further highlighting the need for expanded housing options.

The proposed 450,000-square-foot facility will include a variety of amenities such as a community lounge, shared gathering spaces, a central green space, rooftop terrace, fitness center, and dedicated study areas. Construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2026, with completion expected in the fall of 2028. Rents are anticipated to be around $1,200 per bed per month.

This development aims to meet increased student housing demands while delivering a modern residential experience tailored to the needs of the Morehouse and Spelman communities.
