Four new tenants have opened at The Prairie, a mixed-use development in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, adding additional retail and services to the community. The new businesses now operating at the property are The Quarter Butcher, Beck Aesthetics, The Beauty Bar, and Katy Gelsheimer Design, broadening the on-site offerings for residents and nearby consumers.
The Prairie was developed by Mia Rose Holdings, led by Tom Kaiman and Jim Cook, as part of a larger $65 million mixed-use community. The broader development includes five apartment buildings totaling 180 units, 60 villas, and neighborhood retail space, positioning the project as both a residential hub and a local retail destination.
Within the overall community, The Prairie features a three-story mixed-use building that combines residential and commercial uses. The building includes 24 apartment units on the upper floors above ground-floor retail space, creating a vertical mix of uses that is intended to serve both residents and surrounding households. The commercial component on the ground floor comprises more than 15,600 square feet of space, designed for a range of retail and service tenants.
Leasing for the remaining commercial space at The Prairie is being handled by Adam Glosier of Scout Realty Group. According to the developer, the commercial portion of the project is nearing full occupancy, with only two retail spaces still available. Interest from additional local businesses has contributed to the property’s lease-up momentum as the initial tenant mix takes shape.
The combination of apartments, villas, and neighborhood-oriented retail at The Prairie is intended to function as a cohesive mixed-use environment. With new tenants now open and more prospective retailers evaluating the site, the development appears to be transitioning from the initial lease-up phase toward stabilization of its commercial component, while also supporting the residential community within the larger mixed-use plan.
