Fortec, a Miami-based real estate development company, has recently purchased a 1.49-acre property in Barrington, Illinois for $695,000. The site was previously used as the headquarters for Barrington School District from the early 1970s until 2019.
The company has signed a long-term lease with The Nest Schools, an established early childhood education operator with over 50 locations nationwide. Fortec plans to invest an additional $2.8 million to completely renovate the existing building and create an adjacent playground. This new location of The Nest School is expected to serve around 200 children and generate employment opportunities for approximately forty individuals in the community.
