**Fort Bend Epicenter Set to Expand With Hotel and Convention Center Project**
Since its grand opening in August 2023, the Fort Bend Epicenter in Rosenberg has become a premier destination for professional and collegiate sports events, concerts, and graduations. In just two years, the $120 million, 230,000-square-foot facility has positioned itself as a significant hub for entertainment and athletics in Fort Bend County.
Now, county officials have unveiled plans for a major new development—the Fort Bend County EpiCenter Hotel and Convention Center. This ambitious expansion will bring a 254-room full-service hotel and a 70,000-square-foot convention center to the existing Epicenter campus. The project also includes two multi-level parking garages with a combined capacity of over 2,600 spaces. The west garage will accommodate 1,527 vehicles, while the east garage will have space for 1,087.
The development will be a public-private partnership. Fort Bend County is expected to invest approximately $160 million to fund the convention center and parking infrastructure. Meanwhile, a private developer will contribute an estimated $75 million to build and own the hotel.
The proposed additions are designed to enhance the Epicenter’s appeal as a multi-use venue and further stimulate hospitality and tourism-related economic development in the region.
