**Innovation Quarter to Transform Former Wells Fargo Operations Center into Life Sciences Hub**

Innovation Quarter in Winston-Salem has acquired The Linden Center, a 190,000-square-foot facility located at 401 N. Research Parkway. The three-story building, situated on a 2.4-acre site, formerly served as an operations hub for Wells Fargo. Plans are underway to redevelop the space into a flexible laboratory and biomanufacturing facility to support startups and growing companies in the life sciences and regenerative medicine sectors.

Since its inception in 2002, Innovation Quarter has revitalized historical industrial buildings, created greenways and public gathering areas, and developed a thriving mixed-use district totaling more than 2.1 million square feet. The district now contributes approximately $2 billion annually to the regional economy.

The acquisition of The Linden Center was made by Wake Forest University Health Sciences, affiliated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The property was purchased from the Florida-based law firm Kurkin Forehand Brandes.

This transformation represents the latest chapter in Winston-Salem’s evolution into a regional hub for innovation, research, and biotech industry growth.
