"Former Nashville Entertainment Venue to be Transformed into Mixed-Use Project"

WPT Capital Advisors has plans to develop a mixed-use project on the site of the former Starwood Amphitheater. The property, located at 3839 Murfreesboro Pike and spanning 65 acres, was purchased by WPT’s affiliate Hobson Pike Land for $6.5 million in 2020. The site had been inactive since Live Nation Entertainment Inc., its previous owner, closed down the venue in early 2007.

The proposed development includes a mix of residential and commercial spaces, with plans for approximately 300 multifamily units and 150 townhomes as well as over half a million square feet of warehouse space and an additional office space measuring around 30,000 square feet.

WPT became part of Blackstone Inc.’s portfolio in early-2021 when it acquired the company. As one of New York’s leading alternative asset managers with assets under management exceeding $1 trillion, Blackstone brings significant resources to support WPT’s growth strategy.

According to their website, WPT currently owns and manages a portfolio consisting of properties across various locations within the United States totaling up to thirty-three properties thus far.
