Uprite Construction recently celebrated the groundbreaking of Advantech’s new North American Headquarters in Tustin. This project is a significant development for the South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD) Technology Park, located on the former site of Marine Corps Air Station Tustin.
In January, Taiwan-based computer manufacturer Advantech signed a 75-year ground lease for a 9.5-acre plot in SOCCCD Technology Park. The deal was facilitated by Kidder Mathews’ Eric Tse and Oliver Ternate, SIOR. The site will feature a six-story office building spanning 108,942 square feet and a two-story warehouse covering 78,837 square feet. These facilities will be used for non-hazardous industrial computer-related activities such as storage, light manufacturing, repairing and packaging.
Representatives from Uprite Construction Southwest Office were present at the groundbreaking ceremony along with design partners Herdman Architecture + Design Inc., Zatu Design Build Architects Inc., HSA & Associates Inc., and Grimm & Chen Structural Engineering Inc. It is estimated that this project will take approximately two years to complete.
