**AMLI Residential Plans New Apartment Community on Former AT&T Site in Irving**

AMLI Residential Properties LP has proposed the demolition of the former AT&T complex on Colwell Boulevard to make way for a new 406-unit residential community. The company is seeking a zoning change for the approximately 13-acre site, with the Irving City Council expected to vote on the matter in April.

In place of the existing dormitory buildings, AMLI plans to construct six apartment buildings, four townhome-style buildings, a sports court, pocket parks, and a 4,000-square-foot community center.

The site, located adjacent to the AT&T Advanced Education Center, previously housed 304 units spread across 12 three-story dormitory buildings, along with a pool, tennis courts, and a basketball court. AT&T vacated the property in 2023 and is in the process of selling it to AMLI.

The land sits across Las Colinas Boulevard from the former headquarters of Exxon Mobil.

AMLI Residential currently manages 12 apartment communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including AMLI at Escena and AMLI on Riverside, both located north of the proposed development.
