Enterprise Community Partners, a renowned affordable housing and community development organization, has appointed Shaun Donovan as its next CEO and President starting from September 1. Donovan brings almost 30 years of experience in housing policy and community development to the role, including serving as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under President Barack Obama’s administration.
“Coming to Enterprise is like coming home for me,” said Donovan . “Housing touches every aspect of a person’s life; it serves as the foundation for education, employment opportunities, health outcomes – all that leads to prosperity starts with having access to safe shelter.” He further added that this moment presents an opportunity he has been preparing for throughout his career – “unlike any other time in my life,” he noted – due to increased national attention on housing affordability issues today.
