Eastland Mall, now known as Eastland Yards, has undergone a transformation with the completion of its first project by developer Crosland Southeast. Evoke Living, a 72-unit multifamily community for residents aged 55 and up, has recently opened in East Charlotte.
Featuring one- and two-bedroom apartments, Evoke offers both market rate and affordable units priced for individuals earning between 30% to 80% of the area median income. The community also boasts impressive amenities spanning across all four floors including a lounge with coffee bar, fitness center, computer room, screened-in patio area,multipurpose room,and rooftop terrace.
According to reports from the Charlotte Business Journal,Truist Financial Corp.has contributed $25 million towards this project. The larger development plan for Eastland Yards includes a total of470 housing units which will include single-family homes,townhomes,and additional market-rate multifamily options that are currently under construction.Additionally,a5-acre county-owned park along with retail shops and restaurants are also planned within this revitalized space.
