Former Chevron Campus San Ramon: Transforming into Housing and Retail Hub

The 92-acre former Chevron campus in San Ramon is set to undergo a transformation into a mixed-use neighborhood called Orchards. The redevelopment project, which aligns with the city’s General Plan 2040, will include residential and retail components within Sunset Development Company’s expansive Bishop Ranch.

Orchards will feature 2,600 homes and approximately 125,000 square feet of retail space. In addition to these amenities, there will also be a spacious park spanning over two acres and a perimeter walking greenway that connects to the Iron Horse Trail. Decommissioning of Chevron Park is slated to commence this summer.

According to Alexander Mehran Jr., president and CEO of Sunset Development Company: “Over the past decade, we have been strategically shifting Bishop Ranch from being one of the top office campuses in the country into becoming an integral part of San Ramon – one of America’s premier suburban cities.”
