Recent Florida commercial real estate activity spans new brokerage talent moves, a seniors housing acquisition financing, an investment sales assignment and an industrial promotion, signaling ongoing engagement across multiple property types. In South Florida, JLL has expanded its office brokerage platform with the addition of Greg Martin and Justin Cope as Senior Managing Directors and Lisa Blumer as Senior Vice President. The trio joins from Avison Young, bringing an established track record representing a range of office properties in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Their combined work has included landlord representation, office leasing, tenant representation and building sales, broadening JLL’s coverage of the regional office market.
On the capital markets side, Berkadia arranged a $19.165 million loan to support Robbins Property Associates’ acquisition of Solera at Avalon Trails, a 74-unit, build-to-rent community in Delray Beach, Florida serving residents 55 and older. The transaction represents Robbins Property Associates’ 22nd acquisition in the Central and South Florida area, underscoring the firm’s continued aggregation of age-restricted rental housing in the region. While loan terms and the lender were not disclosed, the financing supports the purchase of a relatively small, targeted community catering to the 55-plus demographic.
In South Miami, Transwestern’s Southeast Investment Sales team has been engaged to market 6262 Sunset Drive, a medical office asset located within what is described as the city’s healthcare hub. The property totals 98,999 square feet across eight stories, positioning it as a sizable medical office building within the submarket. Transwestern professionals John Bell, Kevin Markwordt, CCIM, Von Baker and Jon Kleinberg are leading the sales effort on behalf of Ardent, which owns the property. Pricing guidance, buyer pool and timing of the disposition have not been disclosed.
Elsewhere in the state, Colliers has elevated Lee Morris to vice chair, industrial services in Central Florida. Morris originally joined Colliers in 2015 as executive vice president of industrial services and brings nearly five decades of real estate experience, including more than 40 years focused on commercial brokerage. The promotion reflects continued investment in senior leadership within the industrial segment, complementing the office and medical office activity noted elsewhere in the Florida market.
