Flexential has acquired a 110-acre site in Kaufman County, Texas, where it intends to develop its fourth and largest data center facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The campus is planned southeast of the metro in Talty, roughly 20 minutes east of Dallas, positioning the project within reach of the broader regional customer base while tapping into a growing hub for digital infrastructure.
The initial phase of the project is designed as a 375,000-square-foot data center with secured power to support 36 megawatts of capacity. Flexential plans to target wholesale and multi-tenant colocation workloads at the facility, including enterprise requirements and high-density deployments. According to the company’s plans, the 110-acre site can ultimately accommodate three separate 36-megawatt data center buildings, which would bring the total campus capacity to 108 megawatts as future phases are built out.
Site work for Phase 1 is expected to begin in early 2027, with the first customers slated to gain access to the new facility in late 2028. This staged timeline outlines a multi-year development effort that scales the campus over time as demand for colocation and related digital infrastructure continues to evolve in the region.
The Talty development follows a recent ranking by Cushman & Wakefield that placed Dallas as the world’s top data center market for development and investment conditions. The firm’s analysis cited more than 20 contributing factors, including power availability, land availability, and the level of construction activity. Flexential’s latest campus aligns with these favorable fundamentals by pairing a large contiguous land site with committed power to support high-capacity data center operations.
The facility is planned to incorporate environmentally responsible, high-efficiency power systems along with a closed-loop cooling architecture. These design elements are intended to reduce energy consumption per megawatt of IT load, reflecting a focus on operational efficiency and sustainability within a large-scale data center campus in Talty.
