A new development combining surfing and condominiums is making progress just outside of Austin. Discovery Land has begun construction on the former site of NLand Surf Park, which closed in 2018.
The city of Austin has approved a site plan for the project, which will include over 140 condos as well as a brewery, cafe, restaurant, clubhouse and more. The streets within the development will have names like Aloha Lane, Fishpond Lane, Soundwave Trail,Coco Beach Drive and Outer Reef Circle. There are also plans for an Xtreme Park with sports courts,a fishing lake,and stand-up paddle boarding area,and a wellness center.
