JLL successfully facilitated a new lease for Aerospacelab, a satellite manufacturing company, at 20000 S. Vermont Ave in Torrance. The industrial building spans 34,734 square feet and also includes 6,700 square feet of office space. This marks the first factory location in the U.S. for Belgium-based Aerospacelab.
According to senior associate Caroline Bethel from JLL, there is an increasing demand for manufacturing space in South Bay due to emerging startups in aerospace, defense and hard tech industries as well as access to skilled labor.
Bethel led the deal along with Kamil Agha and Gary Horwitz representing Aerospacelab while James Kong and Kevin Kim from Coldwell Banker Commercial represented landlord Park and Lauren LLC.
Tina Ghataore, group chief strategy & revenue officer and North America CEO at Aerospacelab expressed excitement about their new facility which will be used to build top-of-the-line spacecrafts alongside other like-minded companies with similar goals.
