First Tee – Virginia Blue Ridge, a non-profit organization dedicated to youth development, has secured a 3,700 square foot space in Charlottesville’s Ix Business Park. This milestone marks the first physical location for the organization. The lease was facilitated by MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services and represented by Sam L. Orr.
The new facility will include golf simulators, practice areas, classrooms and office space with approximately 10 staff members on site. As an affiliate of First Tee national organization, First Tee – Virginia Blue Ridge focuses on character-building and life skills through the game of golf.
According to Thomas Vetrano, board president and Chair of First Tee -Virginia Blue Ridge: “Our top priority was finding a dedicated space equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that would engage our participants and their families while furthering our mission in the Charlottesville community.” The funding for programs at First Tee is reliant upon donations from generous supporters as well as registration fees and volunteer assistance.
