"First Activity Shown in 7-Tower Nashville Development"

Demolition has commenced on a former car dealership in Nashville to make way for MidCity, a seven-tower mixed-use development. GBT Realty and Monarch Alternative Capital are spearheading the project.

The initial phase of this multi-purpose complex will feature four towers surrounding a central pavilion, with plans to construct a new street connecting McGavock Street and Broadway. The second phase will include three additional towers around a pedestrian plaza and two more pavilions.

MidCity Nashville boasts an array of residential, retail, office space options with potential for adding hotel accommodations as well. The buildings range from 20 stories to 35 floors in height.

According to the Nashville Business Journal’s report in December 2021, GBT Realty acquired the Midtown site (formerly Beaman’s auto dealership) for $110 million.

Leading this venture is renowned architectural firm Gensler along with CBRE’s local branch based out of Nashville. This exciting development marks significant progress towards transforming Midtown into an urban hub buzzing with activity.
