### Plans for The Parque Move Forward with Final Review

Scottsdale developers behind a $1 billion mixed-use project are refining their plans for The Parque. George Kurtz, founder of CrowdStrike, acquired the former Cracker Jax amusement park for $55 million in 2022 and later purchased the nearby Promenade Shopping Center for $180 million.

The Phoenix Business Plan reports that the latest site plans for The Parque were submitted to the city’s Development Review Board for approval on March 10, with the board scheduled to meet again on March 20. Spanning 30 acres at 16001 N Scottsdale Road, the development will include approximately 1,236 residential units, a 223-room hotel, and a 150,000-square-foot office building, totaling over 2 million square feet of planned space.

The project’s first phase will feature two residential multifamily buildings—an 89-unit apartment complex and a 70-unit condo building—both incorporating retail or restaurant space on the ground floor. Additionally, the development will include four standalone restaurant spaces totaling 40,000 square feet and a 1.7-acre park at the center of the site.

The plans for The Parque are now approaching their final review as the development moves closer to breaking ground.
