"Final Review Pending for Lone Star Mixed-Use Project in SA"

A mixed-use development situated along the San Antonio River is currently undergoing a final review by a planning committee. If approved, Bakke Development will move forward with their plans to construct office spaces, retail stores, and dining establishments on five parcels of land starting at the 2000 block of South S. Mary’s Street. The project has been designed by Alamo Architects and is expected to be reviewed by the Historic Design Review Committee later this month.

This new development will be located in the Lone Star District, named after its former brewery. With an estimated cost of $600 million, it will encompass 100,000 square feet of office space as well as restaurants, entertainment venues, and multifamily units.

Bakke Development Corporation was founded in San Antonio in 1996 and has since established itself as a leader in commercial real estate for nearly twenty years. Their expertise lies in developing mixed-use properties such as multifamily residences,self-storage facilities, and Wal-Mart shadow-anchored retail shopping centers across South Texas, the Texas Hill Country, and beyond.
