"Final Review Pending for Lone Star Mixed-Use Project in SA"

A mixed-use development along the San Antonio River is undergoing a final review by a planning committee. Bakke Development hopes to receive approval in order to move forward with their plans for office, retail, and dining establishments on five parcels of land starting at the 2000 block of South S. Mary’s Street. The project is being designed by Alamo Architects and will be reviewed by the Historic Design Review Committee later this month.

This development will be located in the Lone Star District, named after its former brewery. With an estimated cost of $600 million, it will encompass 100,000 square feet of office space as well as restaurants, entertainment venues, and multifamily units.

Bakke Development Corporation was established in San Antonio in 1996 and has been involved in commercial real estate for nearly twenty years. They specialize in mixed-use land developments such as multifamily housing complexes and Wal-Mart shadow-anchored retail shopping centers across South Texas and beyond.
