"Final Approvals Secured for $125M Buckeye Retail Center"

Vestar has received final approval to proceed with the $125 million Verrado Marketplace in Buckeye, making it the largest shopping center developed by Vestar since the 2000s. The retail center, located at the northeast corner of Verrado Way and Interstate 10, will span 55 acres and encompass over half a million square feet.

The planning commission in Buckeye has given their go-ahead for this project, which is set to begin construction this fall and open its doors in 2026. Anchored by Target, Safeway and Harkins BackLot along with confirmed tenants such as Marshalls, Ross and HomeGoods; Verrado Marketplace is poised to become a major hub for retail activity.

In addition to these anchor stores, Vestar has also secured commitments from popular restaurants like Victoria’s Secret Bath & Body Works as well as clothing retailers including Buckle and Ulta. This development marks one of only two major power centers built in Phoenix within the past decade – following SimonCRE’s Village at Prasadaand Prasada North projects in Surprise.

With all necessary approvals now obtained,Vestar can move forward confidently with their plans for this highly anticipated retail destination that promises an expertly curated mix of top brands sure to attract shoppers from all over Arizona.
