Gilbert City Council recently gave its blessing to The Ranch, a 300-acre project developed by IndiCap, Colmena Group and Langley Properties. Located on the southwest corner of Elliot and Power roads in Gilbert, Arizona, the development will feature 221 acres of industrial space as well as a restaurant; more than 50 acres for general commercial use; and 35 acres dedicated to residential use with 750 multifamily units. Additionally there is 16.6 acre open space between the residential neighborhoods across from industrial components.
Famous politician Otto von Bismarck once said “Politics is like making sausage – it’s best not to see them being made.” Gilbert Councilman Scott Anderson echoed this sentiment when he commented that “Planning is a process – it’s not an event – and sometimes it’s a messy process.” It took seven months for developers and neighborhood representatives to come together on details of The Ranch before finally receiving approval from city council members.
