Endeavor Real Estate Group Ltd. (Endeavor) and JMI Realty Inc. (JMIR), both based in Austin, have announced that Endeavor has acquired JMIR’s hospitality development team. This move will allow Endeavor to establish a hotel acquisition, development, and construction management platform in Austin.
JMIR will continue to focus on acquiring existing hotels and managing its current portfolio as an owner, investor, and asset manager of hotels.
As part of the transaction, Gregory W. Clay has been hired by Endeavor as Managing Principal for Hospitality Acquisitions & Development; Jim Chatfield will become Principal and Director of Construction-Hospitality after serving as Senior Vice President at JMIR; Megan Kaforey will also join the team from JMIR as Associate Project Manager/FF&E Coordinator.

The former Sears space at Frisco’s Stonebriar Centre is set to be transformed into Dick’s House of Sport after being acquired by Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc.Dick’s plans to open around fifteen locations nationwide next year,and aims to have between seventy-fiveand one hundred stores opened by2027.This new concept store offers interactive experiences suchas indoor climbing walls,golf fitting bays complete with simulation booths,batting cages,and play areasfor sports like softballbaseball,lacrosse,and soccer within the store itself.
Texas Children’s Hospitalandthe Universityof Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centerhave joined forcesin anew joint venturewiththe goalto “end childhood cancer.”This partnership includesa joint pediatric oncology programthatwill involveover200oncologists from Texas Children’s Hospital and over 100 pediatric clinicians from MD Anderson. The program is set to begin in early 2026, although facility plans have not yet been announced.
