"FC Dallas Pursuing $182M for Stadium Enhancements"

The Frisco City Council is considering a vote to approve the issuance of $182 million in sales tax revenue bonds for upgrades at Toyota Stadium, home of FC Dallas. Hunt Sports Group, owner of FC Dallas, has also proposed a plan to transform the surrounding area into a development similar to the Star at Frisco – an all-encompassing mixed-use complex centered around the Dallas Cowboys practice facility.

Hunt Sports Group’s vision includes 1.2 million square feet of top-of-the-line office space, an upscale hotel with 200 rooms spanning 180,000 square feet and a high-rise apartment building with retail and dining options on its ground floor. Additionally, there will be approximately 30,000 square feet dedicated to retail and restaurants as well as parking structures and public spaces designed for community use. The company is seeking incentives from the city for improvements outside of the stadium.

Stadium enhancements will include upgraded club areas and seating options along with new luxury suites. There are also plans for new broadcast booths and press box areas within reconstructed concourse structures that will feature updated public restrooms as well as concessions stands and retail outlets.
