"FAU Announces Plans for 670-Bed Housing Project"

Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton is securing $117.75 million for the construction of a 204,000-square-foot student housing building. The seven-story development is being designed by HKS Architects and will be financed with 30-year, fixed-rate, tax-exempt debt.

Construction on the project is expected to begin in December and be completed in time for the fall semester of 2026. With an estimated cost of $160,000 per bed, this housing project exceeds the national average price per bed of under $100,000.
