The Fallon Company has officially begun construction on The Colwick, a new multifamily rental project in Charlotte. With an estimated cost of $100 million, the development will consist of 234 units and is located at the intersection of Colwick and Chiswick roads.
In December 2022, The Fallon Co. acquired the site for $7 million. Axiom Architecture has been chosen as the project’s architect and designer while Edifice Construction will serve as general contractor. Santander Bank provided financing for this venture.
The seven-story building will offer a variety of unit sizes including one, two, and three-bedroom options. In addition to traditional amenities such as a fitness center and pool, The Colwick also features unique offerings like a co-working lounge with video conferencing rooms, an onsite pet spa with dog park access,and outdoor grill stations complete with pizza oven.
Residents can also enjoy leisure activities in various communal spaces such as a garden courtyard featuring an activity lawn and fireside lounge or socializing in the resident lounge equipped with games like golf simulator room or bistro lighting on its outdoor gaming lawn.
Anticipated to be completed by late 2026,the development marks Cotswold’s first large-scale rental building constructed in decades.
