"FAA Moves Administrative Headquarters to Carle Place for Improved Operations"

CBRE recently completed a 74,679-square-foot office lease for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at 1 Old Country Rd. in Carle Place, NY. The FAA will be relocating its administrative headquarters from One Aviation Plaza in Jamaica, NY to occupy approximately one and a half floors of the 390,000-square-foot building.

The CBRE team of Vincent LaManna, Richard Freel, Maria Kobe and Ralph Guiffre expertly represented the FAA in direct negotiations with building ownership DBD Realty Group to secure this long-term lease within Long Island’s Nassau County.

“Our team was tasked with finding new space for one of the region’s most important federal agencies while also reducing costs and remaining close to JFK and LaGuardia airports,” said LaManna. “This was a top priority for us but made more challenging by limited quality office options near the airports.”

Despite facing challenges such as market surveys and evolving circumstances due to COVID-19 over three years of searching for suitable locations that would meet their needs as well as compete for their tenancy, the CBRE team ultimately secured this prime location in Carle Place.
