**Extell Development Celebrates Ribbon-Cutting for Hudson Piers in Yonkers**
Extell Development Company, joined by Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano along with various city, county, and state officials, recently celebrated the ribbon-cutting of Hudson Piers—a landmark mixed-use development on the Downtown Yonkers waterfront. This project marks the final and most significant phase in the city’s broader Downtown Waterfront Revitalization initiative.
As Extell’s first project in Westchester County, Hudson Piers is being developed in three phases. Phase I has now been completed and leasing is underway. Spanning over 20 acres along the Hudson River, the full development is set to deliver more than 1,100 luxury apartments. In addition to the residential component, Hudson Piers will feature retail spaces, waterfront amenities, and a new riverfront esplanade designed to enhance public access and community engagement along the shoreline.
“Under Mayor Mike Spano, Yonkers has been recognized as the fastest-growing big city in New York State, and we are proud to be part of that amazing transformation with the grand opening of Hudson Piers,” said Moshe Botnick, Senior Vice President of Development at Extell. “We had a clear vision for what this waterfront site could become, and it has been incredibly rewarding to see it take shape.”
The Hudson Piers project is expected to serve as a key driver of economic development and residential expansion in Yonkers, aligning with the city’s ongoing efforts to revitalize its urban core and waterfront.
