Northwood Retail, a Dallas-based developer, is exploring the potential of building a 24-story office building in The Domain area of Austin. This million square foot development would require demolishing an existing parking garage to make room for its construction. Estimated at $155 million, it is expected to begin Jan 8th 2024 and wrap up Sept 9th 2026 with Addison based UD Architects as architect and Kimley Horn from Austin as landscape architect.
The 5.1 acre site bounded by Rock Rose Avenue on the north and Palm Way on the south already houses retail stores, multifamily housing units along with a parking garage which will be replaced by Northwood’s project called Domain Block C Office .
In addition Hines has also started work on their 500000 square feet office development that will consist of two 14 story towers located at The Domain’s northern tip which IBM plans to use as their new home in Austin .
Northwood Retail’s ambitious plan promises exciting prospects for business owners looking forward to expanding into this bustling city!
